Sometimes I have a hard time thinking of Sabbath appropriate ways to spend Sunday with my children. Here is a list of ideas I came up with:
1. Tell scripture stories
2. Put together a puppet show depicting a scripture story
3. Play charades using scripture stories
4. Put together a puzzle
5. Play some board games together
6. Use Legos to act out a scripture story
7. Play scripture pictionary
8. Play 20 questions using the latter-day prophets or the scriptures
9. Play a sunday version of hang-man
10. Bible balderdash using words from the bible that you don't know
11. Bingo using religious words

16. Watch a Sunday appropriate movie together. There are a number of movies depicting scripture stories

43. Let your children put on a play for the family. Help them write a script.
44. Write in your journals together. Each child old enough to write can have their own journal they use.
45. Write letters to extended family members. Have your children who are not old enough to write draw or paint pictures for them.
46. Get your children involved in a service project with you. Visit a retirement home, or elderly neighbors/ward members (call the RS president if you want ideas on who could use a visit!) Sing them songs or take them a treat, play games with them or just visit.
47. Call extended family members. Using video chat can make it more fun for the children.
48. Have a family council meeting each Sunday. Make goals together, talk about family issues, talk about your family schedule for the upcoming week.
49. Conduct weekly interviews with your children one on one. Talk to them about their aspirations. Have them set personal goals for the week. Talk to them about any problem behaviors and praise their good behaviors. What are their concerns? Get to know them!
50. Invite friends, neighbors or someone new over for dinner
51. Make a list of what everyone is grateful for. Add to the list each week.
52. Talk to your kids about what they learned in church. Let them show you the crafts they made. Tell them what you learned in your class also.
53. In our family we like to have our FHE lesson on Sunday, and the activity on Monday :)
