1/2 cup white rice
1/2 cinnamon stick
1 1/2 cups water
1 cup sweetened condensed milk *
2 1/2 Tablespoon raisins
Ground cinnamon for garnish
* if like less sweet, use only 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
and 1/2 cup regular milk
Put rice, cinnamon stick, water in saucepan. Bring to a boil quickly.Reduce heat, cover, simmer until
water is absorbed (approx 15-20 minutes)
Add milk and raisins. Cook uncovered until milk works into rice (approx 10-15 minutes)
Remove from heat, take out cinnamon stick. Cover. Let stand for few minutes.
Serve in bowl-sprinkle ground cinnamon on top. Can also add milk for soupier consistency
Can add extra raisins for garnish too.
Good served warm or cold.
